Hussif – Sewing Kit
An unusual hussif (sewing kit), most probably Indian, made of local materials, most likely bone, for resident English ladies in the 19th century. It contains thimble, spool, needle or bodkin holder and seal. Circa 1850-1880
Condition: Good and wear consistent with age and use. There is a tiny chip to the spool and fading of decorative markings as seen in the photographs.
