Chineur Antiques is the creation of two life-long friends.
Chineur is a French word meaning ‘someone who finds antiques and old things’, and we both felt this was exactly what we do. We began by simply collecting antique pieces and things of quality and beauty that enriched our lives. Our particular passions are for beautifully crafted objects from the eighteenth, nineteenth and early twentieth century. We enjoy many pleasurable hours researching each piece, attempting to discover its origin, perhaps to discover its story.
