Palais Royal Sewing Box

A Palais Royal sewing box strung in brass and bone with ornate engraved initial plate standing on four brass feet. The interior of box features its original mirror plate with decorative rope surround, a removable tool pad complete with scissors, pricker, thimble, mother of pearl thread winders and needle case. Removal of the tray reveals more storage space. The Palais Royal box comes with working lock and tasselled key. Circa 1820.
Condition: Very Good with minimal wear consistent with age and use.
